   Lender’s benefit

  • Save time, money and effort by not trying to sell or market the asset or vehicle yourself.

  • No advertising costs.
  • No haggling with dealers who try to gain maximum profit by offering you less than fair market value.
  • Schedule the inspection appointments at your convenience.
  • No expenses paid until after the asset sells.
  • No inventory of my own that competes with the sale of your asset or vehicle.

   Auction Issues

  • Auctions attract dealers who are looking for highest value at the lowest cost. This makes getting your minimum reserve value for the asset difficult.
  • Transporting the asset to the auction site cuts into your minimum reserve and your institution’s funds.
  • Auction fees occur regardless of whether the asset sells or not. Storage fees may also apply if the asset doesn’t sell right away.
  • If the asset doesn’t sell at auction, you’ll have to have it transported again or store it at the auction facility where the asset just sits instead of being marketed.

   Dealer consignment issues

  • Because large dealers have high overhead they need to make big profits on each sale.
  • Dealers work harder on the sales which offer higher profit margins.
  • Because consignment sales have lower profit margins dealers will often shun taking on consignment vehicles.
  • Because dealers have lots of cash tied up in their own inventory they push their own assets over any consignment assets.
  • They often turn down offers above and beyond the lender’s minimum reserve because the profit margin isn’t high enough for them to make a profit.

   What I offer

  • My goal is to get your minimum reserve.
  • All marketing and advertising comes at my expense.
  • I use conventional means of advertising to the general public.
  • Dealers aren’t my only source of buyers. I market to friends, family and professional contacts.
  • I advertise the asset, qualify the buyer, then send them directly to you.
  • I prequalify the buyers beforehand.
  • I eliminate the hagglers.
  • I never take possession of the asset.
  • My only fee is 10% of the final sales price payable to Brian Simmons Trust.

The Process

Simply email me at BrianSimmons@mac.com with the details of the vehicle / asset. I will send over my simple contract. After filling out the details and your minimum reserve we sign the contract. I then start marketing the vehicle / asset and turn your institution’s deficit back into an asset.
